Formerly known as the Clarion Hampshire Hotel, the Time Hotel resides in trendy Manhattan. The hotel was originally built in 1926 and underwent vast renovations in 1999. Although the hotel could be defined as a small boutique hotel it certainly gives new meaning to the word luxury. Upon entering the Time, guests are flooded with a feeling of being in the future. The two-story glass elevator deposits guests in a modern lobby and lounge that is awash with subtle colors. The Time is located near of all of New York City's most popular attractions including the Broadway Theatre, Rockerfeller Center, the exclusive shops of Fifth Avenue, Wall Street and Central Park.

Colorful Living at the Time

The Time houses 200 guestrooms. Travelers can stay connected with what's going on in the outside world by catching the multilingual news updates that are broadcast on miniature televisions on every guest floor. Each guestroom/suite was designed to demonstrate how color can affect one's mood. Each room is done using one primary color such as blue, red or yellow. In addition the primary color infusing everything from the bed covers to the headboard, highly acclaimed restaurant designer Adam Tihany has added a food that corresponds with the room color. He came up with this unique idea so that guests could associate relaxing aromas with their room. The designers also followed the Feng Shui principles when creating the rooms in order to envelop their guests in a tranquilRed Room at The Time Hotel and stress free environment. Guests who stay in the suites can unwind in the whirlpool tub.

Luxury does not end with the design. All guestrooms and suites feature top-of-the-line amenities. Each room has a state-of-the-art entertainment center that is equipped with Web TV, Bose stereo system and VCR. Business travelers will be happy to find dual line telephones with data ports for computer and fax hookup and private voicemail, has well as a working desk and fax machine. All rooms are individually climate controlled. Additional amenities include a plush bathrobe, free USA Today each morning, hairdryer, coffee maker, iron/ironing board and mini-bar. Valuables may be stored in the in-room safe. Handicap accessible rooms are also available. Children ages 12 and under stay at the Time for free.

The Triplex Penthouse

For travelers who want to experience opulent living at it's finest, the Triplex Penthouse is the place to stay. This is ideal for guests who desire spacious living in an extremely private environment. The first floor Yellow Room at The Time Hotelis made up of the living and dining rooms. A terrace opens up off of these rooms, offering beautiful views of Times Square and the Hudson River. The furniture is from Italy and is custom-designed. The dining room table is made out of granite. The enormous master bedroom resides on the second floor. A sitting room on the same floor is equipped with a flat screen TV, VCR, DVD-player and CD-player. The third floor houses another private outdoor terrace.

Additional Amenities at the Time

The Time Hotel is also home to the Coco Pazzo Teatro which is known for it's excellent Tuscan-style cuisine. The Time Lounge which is located on the second floor lobby level is the perfect spot to enjoy a nightcap or hold a business function. The Lounge also serves light tapas. The Brown Room was designed in order to accommodate up to 400 people and is ideal for meetings and presentations. The Time also houses a fitness center for guests who do not want to stray from their exercise routine. Additional amenities and services include concierge service, turn-down service, maid service, luggage storage, laundry service, and express check in/out.
